About the foundation

Zinder Foundation is a charity initiative started in Santiago by journalist Lara Zinder. We visit campamentos and vulnerable neighbourhoods, deliver clothes, food and children's items, and organise activities for kids.

Lara has been doing charity work for about 20 years, with experience in different countries. We have supported ollas comunes (community soup kitchens) in Recoleta and organised English classes for immigrants.

“Without culture there is no future” — L. Zinder

We have worked with the Municipality of Recoleta, TECHO Chile, Copihue-Kai, Ecocitex, Chartwell International School, Discover Chile and Expat Girls in Santiago, among others.

All of this is possible thanks to people, organisations and companies who donate goods, money or their time.

Our values

We help everyone, no discrimination

We help absolutely anyone who needs it, regardless of origin, nationality, religion, age or any other difference.

For us there is no "us" and "them": there are only people who need a helping hand.

“Charity has no borders and no nationalities. But there are people who need help. Here, today.”

One of our activities

Campamento Dignidad, La Florida. Together with the Japanese ladies' association Copihue-Kai and Ecocitex, we visited this settlement, home to more than 100 families, and delivered clothing for 110 women, 95 men and 70 children, plus 6 strollers, 4 cribs and 14 car seats.

We keep coming back: we brought clothes, plates, books and toys to Campamento Dignidad.
